Something happens to a lot of us, often somewhere in midlife, where we look up and realise we’ve been living at a distance from ourselves for a very long time.

We’re present for everyone else. Reliable for everyone else. We’ve learned to read the room, manage the mood, smooth it all over. But somewhere along the way, we stopped coming home to ourselves.

This evening is about that. Not fixing it. Not adding another thing to your to-do list. Just beginning, gently and honestly, to understand why it happened, and what it might feel like to start finding your way back.

What the evening holds

Something real to take with you

We’ll spend the evening looking at the patterns that pull us away from ourselves. Where they come from, why they made sense, and why they’ve been so hard to shift.

We’ll look at the difference between understanding yourself on a surface level and actually feeling safe enough in your own skin to live differently. Because that distinction matters, and it’s one that most approaches miss completely.

You’ll leave with something real. A felt sense of what it means to come back to yourself. Not a list of tips. Not a framework to implement. Something quieter than that, and much more lasting.

And there’ll be a guided meditation. We always open and close with one. People tend to stay on just for those.

This evening is for you if...

You've spent years being the capable one, and you're exhausted by it.

You're thoughtful, self-aware, maybe well-versed in the language of healing, and yet something still feels stuck.

You know something needs to change, but you're not sure it's as simple as changing your thinking.

You're ready to go a little deeper. Not recklessly. Just honestly.

Why I’m running this

I spent a long time believing that if I just understood myself well enough, things would shift. I read the books. I knew the theory. And still, I kept abandoning myself in the same quiet, daily ways.

What changed things for me wasn’t more insight. It was learning to work with my nervous system. Learning that the body holds patterns the mind simply cannot think its way out of.

That’s what I want to introduce you to on the 22nd. Not the full work, we can’t do that in an evening. But the beginning of it. The bit that changes how everything else feels.

Even if you’re not sure it’s possible for you yet… just come. Leave a little room for it.
