Dr Rob Baskind

HEROES Co-Director, Business Manager and Neurodiversity Lead

Dr Rob Baskind is a consultant psychiatrist with a specialist focus on neurodivergence, particularly ADHD. In 2011, he founded the NHS Adult ADHD Service in Leeds, building on his earlier work with individuals experiencing complex trauma across mainstream prison systems in the region.

Driven by a compassionate, humanistic ethos, Rob gradually expanded beyond the traditional medical model, retraining in holistic and spiritual approaches to mental health recovery. Following a personal breakthrough during a period of professional burnout in 2022, he became a practitioner of applied Positive Psychology and later trained as a Jungian Life Coach.

Rob is a regular public speaker, known for inspiring talks on how to thrive and cultivate post-traumatic growth. He has also provided national-level training to clinicians on ADHD assessment and treatment.

In 2024, Rob met HEROES founder Miranda Arieh. A natural connection sparked both personally and professionally, leading them to co-direct HEROES together. Rob brings almost 30 years of unique insight, and will be leading on the business development side of the programme.
